Meal prep doesn't have to be hard. In fact, it can and should be an enjoyable experience! Just about every Sunday, I throw on a podcast, pull out my glass containers, and meal prep for the coming week. Meal prepping only takes a few hours out of your week, but it has been the difference maker for both myself and my clients achieving their weight loss and fitness goals. .
✅ It helps you make great choices consistently throughout the week. When you're at work and it's time for lunch... the nutritious choice has already been made for you and it's sitting in the fridge.
✅ It helps you eat enough calories. When you're trying to build muscle on a vegan diet, often the hardest thing is getting enough calories. By portioning out your meals for the week, you're ensuring your body has enough fuel to rebuild your muscles and keep you progressing.
✅ It saves money! The average American spends between 3k and 4k a year on eating out! Rather than buying lunch for 12 to 16 every work day, why not make it yourself for half the price?
✅ Better for the environment! By making your food an storing them in glass containers rather than eating out every day, you're not using up plastic bags, take out containers and plastic cutlery that would otherwise end up in the landfill! .
✅ You know what's in your food because, well, you made it! When you're eating out you don't always know the entire story behind what ingredients are in your food. Restaurants tend to use more oil, salt, and sugar than you would use if you were meal prepping to achieve your fitness goals.
